Services We Provide :

Who benefits?

The furniture we distribute is donated by members of the community. It is passed on to people referred to us by one of our many referral agencies including social service offices, the Citizens Advice Bureau, housing associations, health visitors and the probation service. A small handling charge is made for each item of furniture, and prices for electrical goods are kept low.

Volunteer training opportunities

A small number of paid staff are employed to run the project, though the bulk of the collections and deliveries are carried out by volunteers and people on government schemes. We provide all volunteers with the training and skills necessary to do this work.

In-house training sessions are organised to cover a wide variety of subjects aimed at increasing the opportunity of gaining paid employment.

Help and support is available for those wishing to attend external training courses and in producing CV's, job applications and interview preparation.

The Clothing Store

We are able to help families in need with good quality, second-hand clothing. Referrals are made by social services. A small charge is made for the clothing, and this service is also run by volunteers.
